Why am I prompted to register each time I launch ViewletCam? |
If you are prompted to register ViewletCam each time you launch it, there may be a conflict occurring with the registry files. To resolve this:
- Make sure that ViewletCam is closed.
- Search for and delete the following registry .dll files, if found:
msdaoke.dll
msdaokf.dll
msdaokg.dll
- Uninstall ViewletCam, download the current release from our site, and install again.
- Launch ViewletCam, register, close the program, relaunch, and see if this issue is resolved.
If you are prompted to register again, please contact the support staff immediately, stating that your ViewletCam license is “not sticking”, and include your licensing information so support can contact you to resolve this issue.
Note: After registering again, however, if you get an error message stating "...unsuccessful online registration..." or something similar, please click the OK button and close ViewletCam. This is a random bug that may occur, indicating the program is not registered when in fact it is. To resolve this, relaunch ViewletCam at least 3 more times, each time clicking the OK button if the error appears. On the last launch, the error should no longer appear and the program will be registered. |

How do I get rid of the yellow header and footer in the HTML file that launches my ViewletCam Flash file? |
If you want to link to the HTML file generated by ViewletCam to launch your ViewletCam file, but don’t know how to embed the code from this page into your own web page, here’s some instructions to modify this HTML page so you can remove the yellow header and footer from it. - After converting the ViewletCam project, go to the folder where all the files are saved. Make a copy of the original HTML file (as a backup file, just in case you need it).
- Double click on the original HTML file to launch it in your browser.
- With the HTML file open in the browser (assuming you are using Internet Explorer), click on “View” then “Source” from the menu options. This will open a Notepad document revealing the source code for this HTML file.
- In Notepad, search the source code (using Ctrl+F to do a “find”) and locate the FIRST instance of <tr>. This is a “table row” tag and the first instance will be the first row (or the yellow header) of this HTML page.
- After locating the FIRST instance of <tr> (or the tag indicating the table row), highlight from <tr> to the ending (or closing) </tr> tag for this row ONLY and delete it. This will remove the yellow header from the HTML file.
- There will be a SECOND set of tags <tr> and </tr>. Do NOT delete this second set because this is the second row in the HTML table and contains the information to play the Viewlet flash file.
- Locate the THIRD set of tags <tr> and </tr> and follow the same steps for deleting this third set of tags. This is the third row of the table and contains the yellow footer information seen on the HTML page.
- After deleting the applicable <tr> and </tr> tags, do a search (Ctrl+F) for border=”1” and change the “1” to a “0” (zero). This will remove the table border that appears around the Viewlet’s playing area.
- After making these changes, select “File-Save” from the menu options (in Notepad). Close Notepad, and close your browser (if it is still open). Then, double click the modified HTML file to launch the Viewlet in your browser. You should see that the yellow header, footer and also the border around the Viewlet are gone. You can now use this modified HTML page to link to, from your own web page, in order to launch your ViewletCam Viewlet file.
